Places of Interest
Mestalla football stadium - home to Valencia CF. El Museo de Bellas Artes (The city´s fine art museum) is by the Turia Gardens and the city´s small zoo. However, the zoo is due to to be relocated within the next few years.
Shops and Facilities
There are many bars and restaurants in the area, particularly in the studenty Avenida Blasco Ibañez. The area has all the usual supermarkets and convenience stores and a practice football pitch off Avenida Primado Reig. It is also home to Valencia´s tennis club where they hold the Valencian open in April each year.
Parks and Children
The large Jardins del Real are just next to the zoo and equipped with an outdoor cafe and public toilets. This is the only place in the city where dogs have to be kept on leads.
There is also a smaller, quieter Jardín Monforte.
